The Boring (But Important) Part
I know credentials aren’t the most exciting thing — but they matter. You deserve to know that the person sitting across from you is qualified, ethical, and committed to doing this work well.
I’m a Registered Social Worker (RSW - #16544) in British Columbia with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master of Social Work (Clinical Specialization) from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Following graduation, I went on to pursue further training including:
EMDRIA Approved EMDR Basic Training
Level 1 AEDP Immersion
IH Acceptance and Commitment Training
Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals Level 1
I’m committed to lifelong learning and providing care that’s ethical, grounded, and evidence-informed.
My Approach: Relational, Somatic, and Authentic
I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and stares. I bring my real self into the room — warmth, humour, honesty, and the belief that healing happens through relationship.
I work from a trauma-informed, somatic-based lens, meaning we don’t just talk about your feelings, we notice how they show up in your body. We slow down enough to feel what’s really happening underneath the surface.
I draw from:
AEDP to help you connect with emotions in a safe, structured way
EFIT to explore how attachment wounds shape your current struggles
ACT & ERP to help folks with anxiety and OCD face their fears without overwhelming themselves
Whether you're working through burnout, relationship patterns, boundary-setting, or healing from anxiety or OCD — we’ll find the balance between safety and challenge. I’ll meet you where you’re at and gently guide you toward what matters most to you.
My Story: From Overachiever to Overthinker to… Therapist
I’ve lived with anxiety and OCD since I was a kid, so I get it. The overthinking, the mental spirals, the pressure to be everything for everyone. I spent years trying to manage it all by doing more — overachieving, people-pleasing, anticipating others’ needs before my own. I believed that if I could just stay in control, stay productive, stay “good,” then maybe I’d finally feel okay.
For a long time, that strategy worked… until it didn’t.
It wasn’t until I started my own therapy, pursued a career in mental health, and began training in somatic and relational approaches that things began to shift. I started to understand how much I’d been living from the neck up, disconnected from my body, my boundaries, and my own needs. Learning to slow down, feel what’s actually happening inside, and relate to myself with compassion changed everything.
Now, I help others who are wired like me, the high-functioning, high- achieving, hyper-responsible ones, come back to themselves. To stop performing, start feeling, and begin creating a life that’s actually theirs. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that got lost while trying to cope.
We Might Be A Good Fit If…
You don’t need to check all the boxes or have the perfect words to describe what you're going through to be a good fit for therapy with me. These are just some of the clients I tend to work really well with:
Anxious overachievers, burnt-out caretakers, and people who try to hold it all together
Folks with OCD who want evidence-based support (ERP + ACT) with compassion
Individuals navigating family of origin wounds or religious/spiritual trauma
Sensitive souls and intellectualizers who are ready to go deep (but safely)
People who want more confidence, more boundaries, more self-trust
Anyone craving a space that feels safe, warm, and real
If you want a therapist who’s not afraid to be human with you and who believes you’re worthy of healing, not because you’ve done enough, but because you exist — I might be your person.
Outside the Therapy Room
When I’m not in session, you can find me:
Training for a half marathon — because apparently high achievers don’t just rest after school, we sign up for distance races
Journaling or writing songs — I’m also a musician in my spare time and love expressing the human experience through music and my guitar
Reading (yep, mostly therapy and self-help — fellow intellectualizer here)
Trying new restaurants, traveling with my partner, or hanging with our golden doodle, Leo — 80 lbs of pure fluff and joy
Sipping coffee and having deep convos about life, identity, and whatever song, show, or podcast I’m currently obsessing over
